views that treat responsibility as a static property\, the study approache
s responsibility as a dynamic\, narrative process shaped by temporal and r
elational factors. Building on the conceptual foundations of “Rethinking
Responsibility in the Digital Age: A Narrative Approach” (MISQ paper by
de Vaujany et al.\, 2025)\, this experimental study examines how responsi
bility is constructed and attributed in digital contexts. The study explor
es how the temporal distance of consequences and the framing of responsibi
lity as collective versus individual influence attribution patterns. By in
tegrating these dimensions\, the research aims to advance the IS literatur
e on responsibility and accountability in an increasingly algorithmic and
socio-technical world. The work is still in its developmental stage\, so f
eedback is highly appreciated!\n\nBio: Dr. Pauline Weritz is an Assistant
Professor for Responsible Digital Transformation in the Entrepreneursh
ip Technology Management Section at the University of Twente in the Nether
lands. She obtained a Ph.D. (cum laude) in Business\, Innovation and Sust
ainability from Ramon Llull University in Spain. With a background in psyc
hology and management\, Pauline focuses her research on the intersection o
f organizational behavior\, information systems and entrepreneurship. Her
work has been published in journals such as the European Journal of Info
rmation Systems\, Information Systems Journal\, and Business Strategy and
the Environment. Pauline has received the UKAIS research grant in 2024\,
exploring values and leadership capabilities for responsible digital trans
 formation.\n
