DESCRIPTION:When: 20th June 202025\, 10:30 – 16:00\n\nWhere: Durham Unive
 rsity Business School\, Room WB-0002\, The Waterside Building\, Riverside 
 Place\, Durham\, DH1 1SL\n\nThe UK Academy of Information Systems invites
  Doctoral Students (PhD and DBA)\, with an interest in Information Systems
  and Digital Transformation\, for a dynamic\, full-day workshop. The works
 hop is designed to support Doctoral Students at all stages of their resear
 ch journey toward publishing from their doctoral research.\n\nIt will be a
 n interactive session\, bringing Doctoral Students and Faculty together\, 
 to explore key aspects of publishing\, ranging from refining the motivatio
 n\, problematisation\, and research questions\, to identifying potential c
 ontributions and relevant outlets.\n\nInterested Doctoral Students will ne
 ed to submit their work ahead of the workshop. This work can be a draft or
  an outline of a paper they are currently working on\, or a previously sub
 mitted but rejected paper. The purpose is for the students to share their 
 work with Faculty and other Doctoral Students and through this\, to receiv
 e feedback\, which they can then use to further develop their work for a p
 ossible journal paper submission (at a later date).\n\nThe workshop is ope
 n to UKAIS and non-UKAIS members alike.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nMentors include:\n\n

  submission: May 30th\, 2025 (submit via email: Efpraxia.zamani@durham.ac.
 uk). Submissions should not exceed 3 A4 pages (font size no less than 11pt
 )\, and they need to clearly indicate: the significance and the motivation
  behind the research\; methodological concerns\; potential contributions. 
 They all need to have an abstract of no more than 250 words.\n\nRegistrati

 ors offer direct and regular routes to Durham Railway Station\, including 
 London and Edinburgh. Durham is around 3 hours from London\, just over 3 h
 ours from Birmingham\, 2½ hours from Manchester\, 1½ hours from Edinburg
 h and 45 minutes from York.\n\nBy car: Durham city centre is only two mile
 s from the A1(M). Leave the motorway at Junction 62 on the A690 Durham - S
 underland road and follow signs to Durham City Centre. There are several m
 ultistorey car parks in the city centre.
