Authors are invited to submit their work to the UK Academy for Information Systems Annual Conference. Submissions must be made through the conference’s EasyChair submission system: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ukais2027

Submission Categories

Authors may submit work under one of the following categories:

  • Full Conference Papers of 5000-7000 words (excluding references) should document established results and will be presented according to the highest academic standards. Papers should conform with the conference template.
  • Research-in-Progress Papers of 1500-2000 words (excluding references) should document research in progress and will be presented according to the highest academic standards. UKAIS actively encourages submissions from early career researchers. The purpose of the development paper is to enable researchers to discuss their work while it is in an early stage, so comments and feedback obtained at the event can be incorporated in the final stages of the research and its write-up. Research in progress papers are not uploaded to the AIS eLibrary. Papers should conform with the conference template.
  • Doctoral Consortium Papers: Applicants need to submit a 500 – 1,000 word abstract that summarises the aims, methods and the significance and relevancy of the research topic. The abstract should also contain the potential theoretical, methodological and/or practical contributions of their work. The submission should also include a Reference list. The list of references does not count towards the wordcount. Tables and Figures do not count towards the wordcount. Applicants should also attach an Appendix that provides a time plan of activities until completion. We will use this information for organisation purposes and to help us understand the applicants’ progress and time to completion. Your submission (cover page, abstract and/or appendices) should be in one single document. Your submission should be submitted using the Doctoral Consortium template available here. Submissions that do not conform to the above will be sent back to the applicant for revisions and submissions that significantly exceed the word count will be rejected.

Before submitting, authors must ensure that their paper:

  • uses the official UKAIS conference paper template;
  • complies with the requirements for the relevant submission category;
  • follows the conference formatting, length, anonymisation, and submission guidelines; and
  • has been carefully checked before being uploaded to EasyChair.

Submissions that do not use the required template or comply with the conference guidelines may be returned to the authors or excluded from the review process.

Authors should select the appropriate submission category in EasyChair and upload their completed paper by the stated submission deadline.
