Description
A Collaborative Workshop for Information Systems Academics This interactive online workshop forms part of a wider project that aims to advance our understanding of pedagogy, pedagogical innovation, and effective methodologies for teaching and learning within the Information Systems (IS) discipline. Designed specifically for IS academics working in higher education, the session will bring together colleagues from across institutions to share experiences, reflect on current practices, and collaboratively shape future pedagogical directions in IS. Running for 2 hours, the session will open with an overview of the project and its aims, followed by a short framing presentation covering contemporary perspectives on pedagogy in higher education. Participants will then take part in a series of structured, collaborative activities intended to advance our understanding of pedagogy and pedagogy in practice. The workshop will include a dedicated space for reflection, collective insight, and prompts for further discussion, before concluding with final observations and next steps for the broader project. This collaborative session offers an opportunity for IS academics to influence emerging pedagogical priorities, contribute to shared understanding across the field, and support the development of future pedagogical resources. Colleagues with an interest in IS teaching, curriculum design, or educational enhancement are warmly invited to attend. An initiative of the IEEE Society on the Social Implications of Technology (SSIT) Socio-Technical Systems Committee and the UK Academy for Information Systems (UKAIS).
