The topic is entirely open within the scope of CIM faculty members’ research areas, and I’d be happy to supervise a PhD around my area of work (see https://socialmedia.lboro.ac.uk/sykora/), and in particular information systems focused work on inauthentic behaviours across social media, as well as bias and ethical issues with respect to sentiment analysis approaches, for example.
