UKAIS Event: ‘Opportunities and Risks of (generative) AI in Higher Education: Insights from Research and Practice’

Join us for a workshop on (generative) AI led by Dr. Isabel Fischer of Warwick Business School. Drawing on her research and practical experience, Isabel will provide practical guidance on implementing AI in the classroom while addressing the paradoxical tensions of identity that often arise during this process. Through a sensemaking lens, Isabel will explore how students’ and educators’ perceptions of generative AI shape its adoption and utilisation. She will also provide an overview of a sector-leading AI-based formative feedback tool she has developed, providing hands-on insights into its potential to enhance the learning experience.

Bio: Isabel Fischer is a Reader in Information Systems at Warwick Business School. Her research interest is at the intersection of digital innovation, education, and ethics. Prior to joining academia Isabel worked for over 20 years in senior positions in digital payments.
